Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 June 2026

PalmCards is a presentation companion app. It holds your speech notes as digital cue cards and helps you rehearse and present them. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version: your decks and cards live on your device, not on our servers. PalmCards has no accounts and no login. We do not sell your data, show you ads, or track you across other apps. A few features send small amounts of data to trusted providers, and those are spelled out below.

Who we are

PalmCards is made by Marvi AI ("we", "us", "PalmCards"), based in Australia. If you have a question about your privacy, contact us at privacy@palmcards.app.

What stays on your device

Everything you create in PalmCards is stored locally on your phone:

We cannot see any of this. It never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it (for example, exporting a deck as a PDF, or sending a backup file to yourself). If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.

AI writing help

PalmCards has optional AI features that help you draft, split and tighten your cue cards. These only run when you choose to use them.

When you use an AI feature, the text you ask it to work on is sent to our processing service (a Cloudflare Worker we operate at ai.palmcards.app), which passes it to Anthropic to generate suggestions using the Claude model. The suggestions come back to your device. We do not attach your name or an account to these requests, and the text is used only to produce your result, not to train AI models. If you never use the AI features, no card text is ever sent off your device for this purpose.

Purchases

If you subscribe to PalmCards Pro, the payment itself is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store your card details.

To unlock and restore your subscription across reinstalls, we use RevenueCat, which receives a purchase receipt and an anonymous identifier generated for your device so it can tell us whether your subscription is active. It is not linked to your real-world identity.

Crash reports

To find and fix bugs, PalmCards uses Sentry. If the app crashes, Sentry receives diagnostic information such as the type of device, the operating system version, and the technical details of the error. We have configured Sentry not to send personal identifiers, and crash reports do not include the content of your cards.

Who your data may be shared with

We only share the limited data described above, only with the providers that make those features work:

ProviderWhat they receiveWhy
Cloudflare → Anthropic (Claude)The card text you submit to an AI featureTo generate writing suggestions
RevenueCatA purchase receipt and an anonymous device identifierTo manage and restore your subscription
Apple / GoogleYour payment, handled entirely by themTo process the purchase
SentryCrash diagnostics (no card content, no personal identifiers)To fix bugs and improve stability

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Where your data is processed

The providers above operate globally, so the limited data sent to them may be processed on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We only use reputable providers that handle data under recognised security and privacy standards.

Our website

This policy is mainly about the PalmCards app. Our website (palmcards.app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement tool that counts aggregate visits such as page views, referrers and country. It uses no cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not collect personal information.

Children

PalmCards is a general-purpose tool used by students, teachers and speakers of all ages. We do not require an account and do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because everything is stored on the device with no profile or login, a child using the app does not create a personal record with us.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Australian Privacy Principles, the GDPR or the CCPA. We will honour valid requests made under those laws.

Changes to this policy

If we add features that change how data is handled (for example, optional cloud sync or accounts in a future version), we will update this policy and the "last updated" date above before that feature ships.
